the unifying voice of advertising
the purpose
The AAF Central Region's value to our member districts is to provide leadership on issues involving and affecting advertising, to cooperate with government officials at federal, state, and local levels by representing the industry’s positions before legislative and administrative bodies when necessary, to promote and encourage fellowship, networking, understanding, and cooperation among the various disciplines of the advertising industry, to act and promote the highest level of ethical standards and act and operate in an equitable and fair way to all members, to promote the efforts, accomplishments, and support the needs, concerns, and general operational struggles a member district and/or club may have, and for the Chair of the AAF Central Region to serve as a member of the AAF National Board of Directors having a voice and a vote on AAF matters that concern all members. The AAF Central Region Chair is also a reporting member of the AAF COG (Council of Governors).

Each of the local ad clubs are part of the national AAF’s member network comprising of 40,000 professionals in all corners of the United States.

the conference
Every other year, the AAF Central Region has a conference bringing together members from all 18 states for two-days of professional development, networking, and fun. Throughout the year our districts and clubs offer member programs, including meetings featuring industry-related speakers, professional development workshops, educational seminars, scholarships, public service initiatives, social events and local award competitions recognizing excellence in advertising.
The AAF Central Conference is hosted by an AAF local ad club with the planning support from the Central Region leadership. We have been fortunate to have had these following AAF local ad clubs step up and host:

the system
REGIONS
Each AAF ad club falls within one of three geographic regions: Western, Central or Eastern. Each region collectively elects a regional chair to serve on the national AAF board of directors. The regional chair represents the concerns of ALL the clubs and federations in his/her region. AAF Central Region represents Districts 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10.
DISTRICTS
The AAF map is then further broken down into 15 multi-state districts. Each district elects a district governor to serve on the AAF Council of Governors (COG). Members of the COG also serve on the national AAF board of directors, representing the interests and concerns of local ad club members.
AAF districts serve another vital role: They set the framework for well-known industry programs like the American Advertising Awards and the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). In each program, district-wide competitions yield top contenders, who then advance on to a national round.
